Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) play a key role in protecting natural water bodies, however they are also one of the largest energy consumers in most countries. Many investigations have been applied to energy-saving in WWTPs but the transformation of aeration control systems is the most efficent and economical. Based on studies conducted in Japan, energy-savings of aproximately 20% can be realized by using an Ammonia control system as an alternative to the commonly used Dissolved Oxygen (DO) control system.
In this webinar WTW product specialist, Dr. Tao Su, will discuss:
What we can do to save energy in WWTPs
Current DO control system of aeration
The pricicple of energy-saving by ammonia control system
Successful cases that utilize ammonia control system
